This page is dedicated to all the animals whose lives have been taken by this killer, and the families who miss them. Many more are not shown here but they, and all the foxes, rabbits and other wildlife are in our thoughts.

Each of these cats were very much loved by their families and are dearly missed.

Rest in peace little ones.

  1. "Anyone that knows us, knows how much we love our cat. She helped us and our family through so much and was part of our lives for nearly 9 years. She was there whenever we felt sad or anxious and reminded us that everything was ok. She was always so happy. During the early hours of Friday the fifth of April, an individual, who has reasonably been identified as the UK Animal Killer, broke into the garden of the flat that we were living in, stole our cat and killed her, leaving her body for our neighbours to find. We had to identify the body but, because of the seriousness of her injuries, we could no longer recognise her – we eventually identified her as our cat after making a match with a photo of her paw. We have written this statement for the information of people in the Brighton area generally, and as a plea to cat owners in the south of England - the general area of these crimes - to lock your cats in overnight. This individual typically commits their crimes overnight so doing this will at least narrow the possibility of you falling victim. This crime has led us to experience trauma and flashbacks for the first time in our lives, we implore you to take the steps necessary to avoid experiencing this yourselves. PLEASE lock your cats in at night. Don't give this sick, twisted person any more opportunities. We have since moved out of our flat because being there without her feels so wrong. She was there to greet us every time we opened the front door and came up on to our bed to cuddle us every morning as soon as she'd noticed that we were awake. We are all absolutely devastated. We am truly heartbroken that someone has taken her away from us in such a gruesome and sudden manner. We would like also to say a huge thankyou to South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty - SNARL who have been helping us right from the beginning. If anyone has any information on who might have killed our beautiful girl, please contact SNARL on 07961 030064 or 07957 830490 and also contact Sussex Police, quoting incident number SXP–20190405–0897." - Family Statement April 2019

Before Christmas we were left heart broken when some vile and horrendous person took her from us. We don’t know why he took her, or why he did what he did to her, but we were devastated! Some wonderful people who run SNARL (South Norwood Animal Rescue & Liberty) offered us support and compassion when dealing with Kitty’s body. They answered all of our questions and kept in contact with us all the way through. We are sharing this with you because we didn’t realise how wide spread this is, so we’d like as many people as possible to share this and help catch the scumbag that’s doing it!" - Family tribute March 2019

The police are aware, and we just want to make sure that everyone has a heads up to keep their cats inside, as this is not the first incident of this nature to have happened in Worthing in the past few weeks. Booful only lived with us for 7 short months, but in that time he was one of the family. Fiercely protective of his baby brother George, loyal, tolerant and loving, he was a funny and gentle cat who loved a cuddle and a tin of tuna. He was full of personality and spirit, and we will never forget him. We are feeling heartbroken at this mornings events, and in shock that someone could be so cruel. Goodnight Booful boy.” - Family tribute February 2018

I beg you all to keep a close eye on your pets as you don’t think anything like this would happen to you. She never left our property and we thought she was safe, when she went missing we knew something was wrong. She was found dead recently, decapitated and her death has been linked to the UK animal killer. She was found in the Tadworth area. Whiskers was a true character, me and my mother miss her everyday. He had very striking blue cross-eyes and had this cute daft expression all the time. He will be sadly missed by us all. Sleep tight our beautiful blue eyed boy.” - Family tribute November 2017

  28. Massive

Massive was found in his garden in Uckfield on the 22nd November 2017. “My apologies if this is distressing to read but it is vital to warn people. You may have seen a few weeks ago my post when our lovely cat Massive went missing. This morning I found him laid out on our front lawn.  Suffice to say what I found was enough to make me call the police. Scene of crime officers have been with us all morning and have confirmed that our cat was killed by the so called Croydon / M25 cat killer.  It has been so sad for all our family and friends who knew Massive - he was such a special cat. I hope that by publicising this it helps in some way to catch this monster. It’s also left me very afraid to be at home alone. Knowing he /she could have been watching the house and my reaction when I found our cat. I don’t wish to in any way give them any satisfaction by posting this as they are the lowest of the low and beyond any human understanding. All details have been passed to the Met who are dealing with this. Please keep an eye on your pets I don’t want anyone else to go through what we have.” - Family statement November 2017

Teddy's body was found in his hutch that had been broken into in Harpenden on the 31st October 2017. “Teddy was one of a kind, a truly special rabbit. The nature of the attack on him is very distressing and feels very personal - that someone, somehow, climbed into our high-walled garden, killed and mutilated him and left him next to my daughter’s little pink wendy house for us to find, is beyond comprehension. This is not down to a killer or killers based in Croydon - or even the M25. Our nearest motorway is the M1 and attacks have taken place all over the country. Everybody in the UK needs to be on high alert to protect their pets. We though we were safe and I’m so very sad we were wrong. We need to remember all the pets who have fallen into the hands of the killer (or killers) and honour their memories by protecting the animals we love, all of us, wherever in the UK we are.” - Family tribute October 2017

10yr Old Mei Mei, who was suffering from a stomach tumour, was found killed in New Malden on the 30th October 2017. “Mei Mei (aka. Miss Dribbles or Pous) was a loved and cherished member of the family, a sassy little madam who had first class mice catching skills and a keen dislike for the dog. She had an adventurous 10 years in the KT3 area, but has been desperately ill the past 2 months after discovering a stomach tumor. Her family have been pampering and keeping her as comfortable as possible at home. However she was robbed of a peaceful and dignified farewell after going missing late eveing Friday 27th. Her mutilated body was found near her home a day after she disappeared. She is sadly missed by both families who loved her dearly, and her feline family. Rest in peace Chowder xx” - Family tribute October 2017

  37. Harry

Harry was found in Milton Keynes in September 2017. “We rescued Harry from the RSPCA in January after we lost our previous beauty to cancer. Harry loved cuddles, to sleep upside down all four paws in the air. He loved to sit by the treat cupboard and beg for his favourite Dreamies. He loved to sit and watch the world go by with his best cat friend. He would chase butterflies and bees and birds and I’d tell him off. He didn’t like loud noises, unfamiliar people or to be woken up. He’d chase my car home in the evening desperate to say hi and would walk me to the door as a habit. He was a ray of light, a bundle of soppiness and joy. A soft loving gentle creature who was loved and meant so very much to our family. I told the children he is now a cat angel in heaven where there is a fountain of Dreamies and cat milk, to provide them some comfort, they think he was hit by a car. Words cannot explain the sadness and pain we are feeling about the way our precious pet was taken. I can’t bear to think of these animals suffering at the hands of such sickening evil. We were blessed with Harry for a short time but his beautiful memories will never be forgotten. Love will always win over hate and evil.” - Family tribute September 2017

She grew up with the children and in the later part of her life befriended the two dogs who joined the family. Always independent, as she got older she tended to stay indoors more and spent her days close to her home, relaxing and enjoying being with her loved ones. Molly's body was found in a neighbour's garden on 10 May 2017 in Epsom. Her injuries were a match for those seen on victims of the UK animal killer. "This post will be distressing which I apologise for but I am not willing for the person responsible to get away with it. Nor do I want any other cat owners to go through the same thing. Yesterday Wed 30th Nov at around midday my beautiful young tabby cat Oscar was found killed on a driveway near the Queen Victoria hospital in East Grinstead. At first I thought it was a car accident but it now turns out that he was decapitated deliberately, not harmed by a car. The person who did this has taken a life, a life that I considered like family and who has only ever been friendly and loving to anyone who met him. This unfortunately is not the first case recently in the area. Please take a moment to share this as I am determined to find the person responsible - someone must have seen something as it was opposite the hospital in broad daylight. If you know anything please take the time to call 07769252616 or send a fb message. This can't be allowed to happen again." - Family statement November 2016

  55. Cupcake

This is a picture of our lovely cat Cupcake asleep on the settee. Yesterday morning I found her body in the middle of the road outside our home in Sidcup, she had been decapitated, her tail removed and her chip cut from her back. At this time I was unaware that this horrendous act is happening all over the country to such an extent that the police are involved and working alongside an amazing charity called SNARL who helped us yesterday and were amazing. My intention is not to scare people, just to make as many people aware as possible in the hope that it saves these poor cats and helps find this psychopath.” - Family statement November 2016

  56. Missy

Missy's body was found in October 2016. “On the afternoon of Friday 28th October 2016 I let my lovely cat Missy out. Little did I know that would be the last time I would see her alive. She, like so many other cats had fallen prey to the serial cat killer. What can I say about my little girl? I always referred to her as my daughter, because my cats are my children. Missy was a very pretty little cat, she was both naughty and cheeky at the same time. She was also very loving and followed me around everywhere, even to the bathroom. I could never have any ornaments around as she would just come along and deliberately knock them off the shelf onto the floor, smiling all the time whilst she was doing it. She loved playing around in the bathroom as well as jumping onto my new kitchen door (she had a head for heights) but most of all, she loved being outside in the fresh air. All the neighbours knew her and loved her. The “thing” that took her life and mutilated her also destroyed my life that day, just like he has with all the other mums and dads who have lost their pets. I hope you like the photos that I’ve put on here, they show missy at her cheekiest.” - Family tribute May 2017

Her body was found 200 metres away from our house in someone’s front garden, with no tail to be seen anywhere! It was such a sad and sickening sight to see my poor baby girl in this sad and sorry state. Rosie was the most adorable cat, who was clever, naughty, mischievous but so loving with it and absolutely loved her life and was still only two and a half years old! She loved to be in the highest place possible as well as squeezing into the tiniest of boxes or bags, if it was something new, LOL. She would always have to investigate anything new in the home and it was sometimes hilarious to watch her. She brought a lot of love and laughter into my life and I now have a massive empty void thanks to some sick person! I just hope this person is caught and justice will be served one way or another, even if it’s some kind of karma! RIP sweet Rosie, you will not be forgotten.” - Family tribute September 2016

  59. Mimi

Mimi was found in Coulsdon on the 17th September 2016. "Mimi was a shy and kind two year old cat, who rarely ventured out of our garden. She has always been shy of humans, which is why we find it hard to understand how he caught her. Our road is an exposed road which makes it even more worrying as to the lengths this person will go to; he clearly has no boundaries as to who and where he will target next. We hope this malicious person is brought to justice and we urge everyone and anyone to help in this search. Mimi was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.” - Family tribute September 2016

There is no sign of her poor leg. If you have any information about who might have done this, please contact the police on 101, quoting Operation Takahe or SNARL on 07957 830490 or 07961 030064. Pebbles was a lovely, shy, loveable little girl who loved our kids and her family. She will be dearly missed. Rest in peace Pebbles, we are so sorry we could not save you in time.” - Family statement August 2016

  61. Storm

Words don't express the loss and pain we all feel. Please catch this sick, heartless individual before more beautiful cats are lost.” - Family tribute August 2016

This excuse of a human being is continuing to murder catsand foxes all over the country including the M25 belt around London, Birmingham, Manchester, Portsmouth, Isle of Wight and Northamptonshire. Please share far and wide, you may be the person who has a little bit of information to help catch this person to stop more heart ache and stop them before they go onto people. Betsy had lots of likes, mainly attacking things - namely feet, the dog and leaves that fell in the garden. She loved food especially crisps, poppadoms and prawn crackers. She was just coming into her first summer and was starting to love the garden and the sun. She only had a short life, but it was one where she was so loved. She will be so terribly missed by the entire family. Even those mornings where she used to wake her humans up at 5 for her breakfast."

  67. Hero

Hero was found in Kingston on the 25th June 2016. “As an avowed “dog family” our experience of cats was limited to occasional sightings of a feline looking shadow lurking under cars. We wanted our children to have the same experience of living with pets as we had had growing up and we finally agreed to getting a cat following a long running campaign. To our great surprise, we found ourselves welcoming not one, but to white cats into our home and they immediately became members of our little family. After a mere 9 months, the pecking order in the house had settled into a natural order with the Hero and Buddy firmly placed at the top. Both developed distinctive characters and we all had our own relationships. The strongest relationship was between our two devoted cats. They did everything together and were never far apart. Unfortunately, Hero decided to go for a wander, bumped into a troubled and unhinged individual and never came back. We later found his body in a local wood, minus his dignity, and the true extent of his importance to our family became apparent. All of us have been absolutely distraught at the loss of him. We have had to explain that the world is sometimes a dark place to our children and that bad things do happen. What has been most difficult is explaining that there is no reasoning or explanation about what has happened. Like our children, we too don't understand why this has happened. Life goes on, but ours is genuinely the poorer for the loss of Hero and the manner of his being taken has left us angry and confused. We, like an alarming number of other families, want to have this troubled individual taken off the streets and for them to a account for their actions. If anyone has any information about this cruel and violent individual please come forward. These are not just animals, they are dearly loved family members and this dark threat must be removed from our community.” - Family tribute June 2016

  68. Oz

Oz was found in Catford, June 2016. “Oz was originally a neighbour’s cat, who was left behind for Rob and Sarah to look after temporarily. Days turned into weeks and Oz stayed with them and they became his humans. For the next 16 years Oz lived a happy fulfilled life, demanding his breakfast every morning as Rob made coffee, going out to enjoy the garden during the day and snuggling up at night. He rarely strayed far from earshot and as he got older, he got fonder of being around his home and family. He was cheeky and loving and cantankerous, especially after a small beer, which he enjoyed with Rob, with whom he had a close bond. Oz was a very special cat who is now buried in the garden he loved. Whilst someone was able to take his life away from him, that person will never take away the love he had for his humans and the love and beautiful memories they had for and of him. Rest in peace Oz”

  69. Sam

Sam was found in New Addington in June 2016. "Sam was a lovely boy who used to enjoy playing with Bastion, his brother, sometimes cuddling and washing him and sometimes boxing his ears. He loved snuggling up to his human family, especially their daughter who adored him and he her. He relished chasing and beating up any fox who dared encroach on his territory, coming back in afterwards all proud. In the last few weeks of his life, Sam was fascinated by the building works taking place in a neighbour's garden and would spend a lot of time there, inspecting the works, lying in the sun and chilling with the humans who lived there. When he wasn't out and about visiting neighbours or with his family, he'd spend time in the fields opposite his home. He was a boy cat who loved every minute of his life. On the evening of 15 June, family members saw him clipped slightly by a car but he ran off, apparently no worse for wear. He visited the neighbour's garden shortly afterwards. It was in that garden that Sam was found at 8am the next morning, displayed in a position which has become sadly very familiar to us, with his tail removed."

I don’t know what to do with myself, people don’t know what to say to me. PLEASE EVERYONE BE AWARE ….this is my little man Jack. He was 18 years old and very loved! I had him since I was 8 years old and he really was my little boy! I’m writing this to make you all aware and to be extra vigilant with your cats. On 16/05/17 in St. Albans my cat Jack was decapitated and left to die by a human! To say I’m heartbris an understatement! There is someone going around doing this, it has happened in St. Albans before! There is a way to report it and the police are involved in my case. I’m sorry to have written this but I just really want to make you all aware, I would hate to think of another cat being taken in this horrific way!” Family tribute May 2017
